With head coach Jupp Heynckes at home and recovering from flu, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller stepped up for the Bavarians to give the live betting faithful and the online gambling community something to cheer about.

It was game on from there as the two teams carved out chances one after the other. Bayern, though, got the upper hand and restored their lead after Muller converted from a tight angle nine minutes before the break.
The Royal Blues refused to back down, with Goretzka and Breel Embolo threatening Sven Ulreich in the second half. Nonetheless, Bayern held on as assistant coach Peter Hermann inserted Javier Martinez to bolster their defence.
The win put Bayern 18 points clear at the top, while Schalke dropped to sixth. The result also extended the visitors’ winless run against the home team to 15 league games.
RB Leipzig, on the other hand, moved back to second following their 2-0 victory over Augsburg. Dortmund, who are now third, also bagged the same scoreline against Hamburg as Michy Batshuayi found the back of the net again.
Meanwhile, FC Koln and Mainz 05‘s survival hopes were dealt a blow after losing to Frankfurt and Hoffenheim, respectively.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Hertha Berlin and Hannover 96, with the former pulling off a 0-2 upset of Champions League dreamers Bayer Leverkusen.
