He has a big job on, although the boost of an immediate victory which would leapfrog the Hammers and leave them in the bottom three cannot be underestimated.
I just can’t see it, however. After the scenes which shamed the club in their 3-0 reverse at home to Burnley, West Ham must bounce back.
The atmosphere may be tense to start with but I think David Moyes will guide his side to a welcome victory.
